Nicole Kidman - Botox Free

Nicole Kidman was recently photographed attending the Australian Open with a strangely different look on her face (see 1st photo). Could it be that she had to quit Botox while she is pregnant? I think so. Botox injections can give a person what I call the "Botox brow." (See 2nd photo) It is an overarching of the eyebrows that can give a somewhat sinister look. Botox does tend to wear off after 3-4 months, and the first photo may be what Nicole looks like au naturel.

I wouldn't Botox someone if they were pregnant either.

Nicole Kidman Denies Plastic Surgery

According to TransWorldNews, actress Nicole Kidman has denied having anything done to her face. According to the article:

The Australian actress insists her face is all natural. “To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything,” she says.
So what keeps her skin looking like porcelain? “I wear
sunscreen, and I don’t smoke,” she adds. “I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that.”

Hmmm....No Botox???

Oscar Wrap-up - Nicole Kidman, Helen Mirren

I found the Oscars to be pretty unsurprising last night. Everyone looked great in their tuxes and dresses, with no obvious bad plastic surgery on display... except possibly Nicole Kidman.
I've commented on her "Botox Brow" and possible canthopexy before, but it does appear that her lips have been recently augmented, likely with an injectable filler like Restylane. Her lips did not seem to move completely normally, possibly because the injectables are a bit firmer than the normal lip tissue. She was an interesting contrast to her BFF Naomi Watts, who looks completely natural.
There are also reports that Nicole may have had a breast augmentation too. This definitely appears possible, but not completely obvious. If she has had a breast augmentation it matches her body well and hasn't been overdone.

I thought the following celebrities looked great, without any sign of plastic surgery: Kate Winslett, Anne Hathaway, Alan Arkin, and Leonardo DiCaprio. As for Helen Mirren, either she has inherited fantastic genes OR she has had a facelift in the past (likely distant past?). Her neckline is almost too good for a 61 year old woman.

Katie Couric - Botox Brow?

Katie Couric looks a bit unusual lately. If anyone has watched the CBS Evening News recently, you may have noticed that her eyes and eyebrows look funny. What is going on?

Check out a recent segment here.
Compare it to this, aired a month ago.

In the more recent clip you may notice that her forehead doesn't move, her eyebrows are more arched, and she has an almost "angry" appearance. This is not seen in the older video. The older video does show her elevating her eyebrows and creating some wrinkles in her forehead. There are no forehead wrinkles seen in the recent clip.
I believe that this recent change is due to what I call the "Botox Brow." Botox can be injected into the forehead and between the eyebrows to remove wrinkles there. While it is very effective in doing this, it can create a side effect of an overly arched eyebrow which can make the person look angry, or sinister. The look does seem to diminish with time. I think she looks better without the Botox.
Another example of the Botox Brow, I believe, is Nicole Kidman.

Nicole Kidman

Some Botox for Nicole Kidman? Here is a recent photo of Nicole showing what appears to be a classic "Botox Brow." When Botox is properly administered, the central muscles of the forehead and between the eyebrows are paralyzed. This creates the smooth forehead and relaxed area at the top of the nose/between the brows. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) the muscles that elevate the brow arch are not paralyzed, causing the brow arch to look unnaturally elevated in some people. Patients can choose between this or the "Frozen Forehead," where the entire forehead (including the brows) doesn't move at all. In most patients, the "Botox Brow" is a much better alternative.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman gets set to be a Botox bride? According to the National Enquirer, she has seen a prominent New York dermatologist for Botox prior to her upcoming wedding with Keith Urban. I believe this is one reason why her brows look so highly-arched. The "Botox Brow" is a telltale sign of a Botox'd forehead.
