Mickey Rourke and Plastic Surgery

Our friends at Celebrity Smack blog have done it again. A week or so ago they posted a very interesting photo chronology of Joan Rivers and her plastic surgery. Now they have done the same thing with Mickey Rourke. Where did things go wrong? I'd say around 1995?

Mickey Rourke - Bad Plastic Surgery?

Has Mickey Rourke had a bad facelift? I think so. Notice how his sideburns appear obliterated. This is a telltale sign of a facelift. The skin of the face is pulled back so far that the skin with the sideburns is removed during the surgery. This is one of the things that most plastic surgeons attempt to avoid with their facelifts.
How can his sideburns be replaced? There are two possibilities. Some of the hair from his scalp can be rotated into place to become new sideburns or he can have hair transplant grafts placed to regrow them. I was taught how to do hair transplants by one of my mentors, Dr. Steven Ringler. It's such a tedious surgery that I don't have any interest in performing it. I'd rather stick pencils into my eyes.

Mickey Rourke

Mickey Rourke cut off his own finger? According to Starpulse.com the actor Mickey Rourke (whom I think did a great job in Sin City) cut off his own finger because he "didn't want it."
He reportedly said, "I cut my little finger off because I thought I didn't want it. I was angry about something so I decided I didn't need the end of the little finger on my left hand. I didn't cut it off completely - it was still hanging on a tendon - and an English friend, Gary, carefully carried the end of it as we went to hospital to try to rectify the situation. It took the surgeon eight hours to sew it back on. I still can't bend it properly."
...And he appears to have had a bad facelift too. What an idiot.
